The brief was deceptively simple: take the brand's global ambassador, the Maharaja of Jaipur, and craft a narrative that did justice to both his identity and his genuine connection to the sport of Polo while also positioning him as a stylish globetrotter.
I led the creative from pitch to production, developing multiple script directions before closing on two distinct narratives that elevated the storytelling at the heart of one of India's most beloved fashion brands. The challenge was finding the right tension — honouring the weight of his heritage while balancing it out with his playful, sporting spirit. The films needed to feel alive, not archival.
What emerged was an Autumn/Winter campaign that balanced aristocratic gravitas with genuine sporting passion, a combination that feels rare in fashion advertising and rarer still when it's actually true of the person on screen.
The Maharaja didn't need to perform. He just needed to be himself. The creative's job was to build the right around that frame.
