The sudden and complete lockdown that was enforced in India following the upsurge in Covid 19 cases threw the economy into a Kafkaesque spiral. Uncertainties plagued marketing minds across the country and a number of brands started dropping their agencies or asking for renegotiations on their retainer fees. In such a scenario, my agency did what every other agency was doing - putting ourselves out there to attract more clients. We decided to run a series of ads on social media with one important caveat - we did not want to hard sell ourselves. Keeping in line with the brand's tonality, the ads were simple, minimal and quirky. Not only did we garner enormous responses on our ads but people also immensely appreciated the copy and style.
